Forest City Paranormal Society will be hosting their second annual paranormal conference on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Rockford College. Please join us for this unique event – a paranormal conference for those interested in all things of the supernatural.

Admission: $15 in advanced or $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advanced at the Rockford Public Library.
Numerous paranormal investigators will be there along with notable authors, speakers, owners of various haunted locations, and information about local haunted tours. We are extremely excited for this event. We are always pleased to meet new people who share a common passion for the paranormal.
SPEAKERS

TERRY FISK
Terry Fisk is a paranormal investigator for Unexplained Research LLC and has investigated UFOs, Bigfoot, crop circles, and ghosts. He is a shamanic Buddhist practitioner and member of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. An authority on death and the afterlife, he is a member of the International Association for Near-Death Studies, Inc. and studied philosophy and religion at the University of Wisconsin. Fisk co-hosted The Unexplained radio talk show, directed The Unexplained television series, lectured at paranormal conferences throughout the US, and co-authored six popular books, including The Illinois Road Guide to Haunted Locations.
Fisk has been interviewed and featured on numerous radio and television programs including Scariest Places on Earth (ABC Family Network), Dakota Life (SD Public Broadcasting and RFD-TV), and Coast to Coast AM (nationally syndicated with 20 million listeners).
PRESENTATION SUMMARY
”Illinois Ghosts and the Afterlife”
Fisk discusses his confrontations with the famous skeptic and debunker James Randi. He also describes his ghost investigations with world-renowned medium Allison DuBois (the real-life inspiration for the hit CBS series, Medium) and psychic Chip Coffey (from TV’s Paranormal State and Psychic Kids). This session examines some of the haunted locations in Illinois personally investigated by Mr. Fisk. Many of these haunting are right in your own neighborhood; some are even in your own backyard. He will share photos, case histories, eyewitness accounts, and ghost lore.

BARBARA J. REITTINGER

Barbara Reittinger is the founder of the Gifted Paranormal Society- a team of people with intuitive abilities. “Our focus is “hands on” using clairvoyant and psychic skills to investigate paranormal, however our members document paranormal encounters with EVP, photos, and meter readings. We help the client deal with the unexplained through understanding the situation at hand.” G.P.S has assisted other paranormal investigation groups with feedback from extensive research and with various team investigations.
“I have always had a special gift to see, hear and touch a part of the other dimension, in some cases I consider it a curse. My first experience is when I was eight years of age. My specialty in this field is the knowledge of Ouja Boards, palm reading, conducting spirit sessions (seance), and inner self and group meditation. I was involved in the short documentary, Ghosts of Galena, haunted places in my home town.”

BILL ROSE
Bill Rose has been offiically investigating the paranormal for 4 years, unofficially his whole life. As the co founder of both Forest CityParanormal Society and Rockford College Paranormal Society he has has investigated multiple private residences, hotels,
and historic buildings. His struggle to understand the paranormal has led him to look at some of the darker occurences in the paranormal field, like that of attachment and demonic possession. Come see Bill reveal the urban legends, hearsay, and truth to the darkest phenomenon known to man.

MICHAEL KLEEN
In 2008, Michael received his master’s degree in American history, and published One Voice, a collection of columns and essays dealing with a wide variety of social ills. His research on Ashmore Estates, the old Coles County Poor Farm, led him to be interviewed for Soul Catcher, an episode of American Horrors, and most recently made an appearance on this years season premiere of Ghost Adventures. He has also been a guest on Joliet Paranormal Radio and AM-1050 WLIP, and has several articles published in KILTER and Paranormal Underground magazine (trueilinoishaunts.com).
We have had the privilege of creating a close friendship with Mike during our early existence as a paranormal society at Rockford College. Mike has MANY stories to share so feel free to chat with him at this years Rockford ParaCON.

Willow Creek is a small working farm nestled in the rolling hills of rural northwestern Illinois just 45 miles southeast from historic, haunted Galena. It is considered by paranormal investigators and others to be one of the most haunted private residences in the state.
